Slowboy had been in touch with Will Oldham for quite a long time as he wanted to release some new music of his with the German label. Finally it happend and here they are: “Conquer” is a cool and fluffy number where Oldham, accompanied by his band, states ”I am a conquer now and i always was“, while the single‘s B-side shows him from his more introverted, melancholy side. The slow jam “You have been seen“ is one of his greatest work in recent times that let‘s you come close to the magic of Will Oldham. Steel guitars are slightly floating around and are carried along by piano and Oldham‘s strong and guiding voice. An estaunishing song with a haunting atmosphere.
